I fell in love with Leipers Fork and Franklin on my very first trip to Tennessee in 2008 while living in Malibu. There were similarities between the two towns, and in a lot of ways it felt to me like the best of Malibu, but in the country.

Both have that small-town feel where the local stores and restaurants know you by name. Both are only 30 minutes from the city (Nashville vs. Santa Monica), yet Leipers Fork has this quiet sophistication and peace that is an intangible.
